Kathmandu to Pokhara Taxi

A private car from Kathmandu to Pokhara can be planned as a direct transfer or as a journey with agreed stops. Please give a precise pickup point in Kathmandu and your hotel or other drop-off in Pokhara. The old fixed-fare table on this page has been retired because it cannot represent current road and vehicle conditions.

What to decide before requesting a car

Tell us the number of passengers and the size of your bags. A group carrying trekking equipment may need more luggage space than its passenger count suggests. If you want to stop for meals, sightseeing or to meet someone en route, list the stops when asking for a quote so the driver’s time can be included.

Agree on whether this is a one-way trip, a return trip or a vehicle that will stay with you in Pokhara. If you will continue beyond the city toward a trailhead or another district, include the final destination rather than treating Pokhara as the endpoint.

Timing and current price

Roadworks, weather and traffic can change travel time. We will discuss the practical departure time and available vehicle for your date. A quote should specify waiting, tolls, parking and driver expenses so there are no assumptions based on an old fare chart.

For local planning, read our Pokhara private car guide.
